The Growing Field of Dental Assisting

Attending Summit Dental Assisting Academy was the springboard that sent me flying toward exciting and invaluable opportunities in the dental field.

As a full-time undergraduate student already pursuing a career in dentistry, I knew I wanted to learn the skills necessary to work in the field. I applied to this program because it was ideal for my budget, schedule, and desire to dive right into the world of dentistry. SDAA was the perfect fit!

Throughout this course, I not only gained the knowledge and skills to be an effective dental assistant, I also learned how to be a dynamic and compassionate team member. The doctors and instructors are truly invested in the students and their successes within the classroom, the clinic, and well beyond the course. Because of SDAA, I grew as an individual and felt confident that I would be successful wherever I landed.

I graduated from SDAA in May of 2017 and since then, I have worked as both an instructor at the school and a dental assistant for two years. I am excited to say that I will be attending the UMKC School of Dentistry as a member of the DDS Class of 2023!

SDAA was paramount in helping me achieve my lifelong goal of becoming a dentist. I can truly say that I would not be where I am today without them! I highly recommend this course to anyone pursuing a career in dentistry!

I attended Summit Dental Assisting Academy at the end of 2012, beginning of 2013. I gained so much knowledge through those classes and had a fun time doing it. I was able to find an assisting job before I was even finished with the certification. The dentists were very friendly and informative. I would definitely recommend going through this program.
